I'm not here to complain about the Disney Princesses or the ever-increasing lametastic notions of Disney television shows...but I am here to say that when overtaking a well-loved live action series from Saban, Disney really dropped the ball.
Yeah, you guys know what I'm talking about, don't you? Power Rangers. Power. Freaking. RANGERS. I know for a fact that very few of you can claim that you didn't, at some point in your life, watch and ENJOY that show!
So don't bother trying.
Some people were unaware that the Power Ranger responsibility shifted..hell, even I wasn't until a short time ago, but it did. After Power Rangers: Wild Force, Saban handed the reins over to Disney...who proceeded to barf out Ninja Storm, Dino Thunder, SPD, Mystic Force, and whatever other atrocities I've forgotten.
I have to say, Ninja Storm sucked the hardest, with no reference to the previous Power Ranger incarnations...and so many layoffs and alterations that the cast of Wild Force refused to join the newbies for the til-then-traditional crossover episode.
I won't rant about all of them, but let me contemplate something...why'd Jason David Frank(the actor for Tommy Oliver, who I'm sure anyone who knows anything about Power Rangers would recognize) agree to come back during Dino Thunder? O_O Dino Thunder was basically a desperate effort to save the series from Ninja Storm's total blowout...aaaand don't even get me started on SPD and Mystic Force. The only thing good about MF was the themesong <<;
In closing...Disney, you bastards. Saban, you idiots...and which one was it with the talking hamster? I think it was Ninja Storm...
...As if that one coulda been any worse --;
